That seems to be very common, the Captain doing ours gave the same speech .  The whole tough love, change the locks, don't let them come home thing. If everything is on schedule I should be at the airport at 1:15pm on Saturday. And ya, that fitness test is going to be on my nerves too until...

Ah I didn't know that.  Well in that case, they had plenty in stock in store and it would be pretty hard to miss

I don't know if it makes a difference, but a word of caution.  At least for the Staples in Markham (The Toronto Area)  what passes for Legal size in store is 1/8 an inch to small both in length and width.  I think they only sell the one that is 8.5 by 14 online

Cool, I didn't realize that they would just move people around like that unless it was for a recourse for something like injury/illness or something that would cause you to fall too far behind

You could always try your local ski/snowboard stores.  I know one mom and pop shop near me sells the good stuff (merino wool, Helly Hansen) and its not any more expensive than some of the big chain stores around.

Unless they asked I guess they would place you in the one that corresponds to the language of choice that you picked early in the application process.  Ya probably will run into you at one point or another.  Where are you coming in from? Anyone else there for the Jan 13 2014 BMOQ?

Ya my CFRC (Toronto) told me which platoon it was when they gave me the offer via email. And on a side note based on the message by i_want_a_pmq, assuming the E and F at the end of the serial number means French or English, than it would appear ti be one French and one English Platoon.  Which...

I start on 13 January 2014 for BMOQ serial 0022.  (I think there are two different platoons that start that day)

The CFLRS' own website shows that the fitness test will be a mix of the two.

I have not heard anything from my local CFRC (can't remember when they go on Christmas leave) and I start BMOQ in January 2014.  But the CFLRS' own website shows the same changes.  The fitness test is a mix of both the old and the new it would seem.

Should be pretty much the same thing for both Reg Force and Reserve so no its not a mistake that you were entered in as an officer Cadet.  You don't make 2Lt until you successfully complete BMOQ.  That is what I was told multiple times while applying for DEO Regular force

Keep one eye on the clock.  I got burned by it on one section because I lost track of the time
