Hi, sorry to revise this chat up a bit, but I noticed recently at the DND public site that its mentioned that CANSOFCOM HQ has shifted over to Suffield; one of the honour guards for Remembrance Day is based there. Is there truth in this or is that some sort of detachment?
One final question concerning the regiment's administration squadron: Your ORBAT split it into two troops (RCLS and RCEME) and a RCMS section. What would the numbers be in each group and which trades would be prominent? I'm sure among the RCEME group, vehicle technicians and materials...
Alert should be next year's stated goal of Arctic penetration. Yes, there's no docking facilities there, but if the ice has broken up enough to make the transit safe, the next AOPS could use its RHIBs and landing craft to deliver supplies ashore.
