I've been on leave recovering from a gunshot wound these past couple of years and intend to be returning shortly. I'm diagnosed ADHD but have never needed medication. I'm considering prescription stimulant therapy. I know historically, stimulant medication is not permitted in the CAF, but I'm also aware that medical standards have been changing recently. Does anyone know if the CAF is allowing prescription Vyvanse or Concerta for members diagnosed with ADD/ADHD?

I'm a 32CBG Reservist. Does anyone know the appropriate office to contact to discuss this further if I need to look into it? Upon returning to my unit, I intend to discuss this with my chain of command. I figured I would do my research first.

Yes, CAF is allowing vyvanse and concerta for members diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. Regforce, prescribed through the local CFHS det clinic.

If you're Cl A reservist, just disclose it when asked what prescription medicine you're taking. If anyone (non-medical) raises a concern, they can staff up their concern themselves and get an answer on the CFHS side. If someone does escalate and pushes it, give me a PM. @knowr
