Every now and then we say "enough is enough" and make our voices heard. The numbers don't lie. Granted, both groups have relatively small memberships, mostly Fredericton locals.

For those of you who don't remember, the "Fredericton Peace Coalition" is the group who launched the (unsussessful) "Take Down Your Yellow Ribbons" campaign. This upset enough people that a rival facebook group, "Say No To The Fredericton Surrender Coalition" was formed. I had nothing to do with it, but thought it cute that the number of people in that group is signifigantly higher than the number of "fans" of the peace coalition.

Now, I'm all for the god-given right of fellow Canadians (and humans, for that matter) to complain about pretty much anything they want to. Free speech. You all fight for it, and I hope to do so as well, very soon. But to launch a campaign such as the "Take Down Your Yellow Ribbons", well, it's unsettling. They say that the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Did anyone ever think to take the squeaky wheel the F*** off the vehicle, and replace it with one that doesn't make such a G**-awful racket? I know those people have good intentions, but G** D***. Completely uncalled for, and a touch below the belt. They actually stated that to support the troops, either through ribbons, or wearing red on fridays, is to be a "cheerleader for the war". I s*** you not.

(yes, I know it's old news, but it's still good for a chuckle)
