Antiques collector paid £500 for a ragged Union flag discovers its from Waterloo

A moth-eaten rag on a worm-eaten pole,  It does not look likely to stir a man's Soul,  'Tis the deeds that were done 'neath the moth-eaten rag,  When the pole was a staff, and the rag was a flag.

It would seem that this has come to pass.  A collector paid a small sum for a box of essentially, rags, only to discover that it contained a Union Flag which dates back to 1815 and belonged to the Coldstream Guards 15th Light Company.  "It's more important because it's from the battle of Hougoumont, and barely any flags from that battle survived."  The flag may be worth more than £300K.
