Any Coast Guard Employees (onshore) here?

I'm going to be interviewing soon for a shore position with the Coast Guard, and was wondering if anyone had any first hand experience how it is to be with the CCG, and also in the reserves. I've heard thin rumours that some other branches of the Federal Government can be tough to deal with in terms of getting time off for reserve service, but nothing specifically  pertaining to the CCG. It looks to be a good place to be employed in all aspects that I've researched so far in terms of the job I'm after.
