I'm doing a presentation at my high school of a biography of my grandfather (who served in the korean war with the RCR, when he discharged he was a Lcpl.Robert.M.Graham) for tomorrow, and I was looking through the medals and badges and came across two that I knew, but didn't know if the colours meant anything.

I'm not sure if the red signifies different brigade or something but I'm guessing that the blue signifies UN.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The UN blue patch is the Commonwealth Division, the formation of British, Canadian and ANZAC troops that fought in Korea, and served as occupation troops afterwards.  It was a British formation.

And if that is an original, they're about as rare as rocking horse crap, at least among collectors, so hang onto it!

The red badge was used by the 25th Brigade, but was also used by other Canadian forces overseas after the end of the Korean War.
