This is my first post, so bare with me please.
So I have emailed and talked (in person), to recruiters at both the local CFRC and reserve units in my town. I have gotten very good responses back from each, however I am still left a little confused and I feel like my questions aren't being answered completely/to my liking. I may be just looking for answers to questions that can't be answered but I was hoping that someone may see this and be able to help out.
I am currently in college, studying General Arts and Science (core courses for bio, chem, anatomy) as well as their college qualifying counterparts in second semester. This makes me eligible for any college programs requiring C/M or U level courses. I am interested in 2 career options, one being paramedic and the other being the Canadian Forces. With regards to the Forces, my two desired pathways are attending RMC for ROTP or paramedic schooling via NCM-SEP.
1. Is it possible to apply for both ROTP and Med Tech [via NCM-SEP] at the same time? My desired trades are Medical Technician, Air Combat Systems Officer and Armour Officer. I am just confused as the response I received said, "You need to apply on-line on the FORCES.CA website for REGULAR FORCE and ROTP entry plan." I am just not sure if this means my application will be only for ROTP or if it will be a general application to the regular force allowing me to include Med Tech.
2. If I don't get approved into a paramedic college, is it still possible to continue my applications as a Med Tech?
Once again I apologize for any newcomer mistakes. I have tried searching the forums, however many of the posts seem dated or a relevant to the trades themselves and not the process of recruiting.
Thank-you.
