APTITUDE TESTING

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT I WENT FOR MY TESTING YESTERDAY AND FAILED THE
APTITUDE TESTING. I HAVE A LEARNING DISABILITY AND DID NOT KNOW THAT THEY
HAVE TO LET ME HAVE EXTRA TIME IF I NEED IT AND A LOT OF THERE THING. MY MOM
CALLED THE HUMAN RIGHTS BECAUSE WHEN I SAID THE SGT. THAT JUST SAID I FAILED
WHAT DO U DO WITH PEOPLE HOW HAVE LEARNING DISABILITIES HE SAID THAT HE WAS
NOT SURE. I DO NOT THINK THAT I WAS GIVEN A FARE SHOOT BECAUSE I AM GOING
FOR MAT.TECH AND I SUCK AT WRITING TESTS AND DOING MATH BUT IF THEY SEEN MY
WELD, MACHINE, AND WORK, I WOULD HAVE BEEN HIRED RIGHT THERE ON THE SPOT.
YES I KNOW I NEED MATH FOR MAT.TECH BUT IF I‘M USING IT ON A DAILY BASSES I
CAN DO IT WITH NO PROBLEMS. I THINK THE ARMY SHOULD TEST U ON THE FIELDS U
WANT TO GO IN SO THEY DO NOT HAVE PEOPLE HOW ARE BOOK SMART AND COMMUNICANTS
STUDIED IN THERE ARMY. AND THAT‘S WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN IF THIS KEEPS UP.
I WOULD JUST LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE IS A WAY I CAN REWRITE THE TEST WITH OUT
WAITING OUT THE YEAR. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME KYLE SHARP

hello every one!
i wrote the aptitude test in 1998 and unfortunately did not make the cut off
line!! i felt bad,,but my military career councilor sec.LT from regina told
me not to feel bad! he said you could always come back next year to write
the test! woooo silverrrrr!!!!!ONE WHOLE YEAR!!! but it was still a relief
to hear i could come back to write he also instructed me to upgrade my
education! i asked why i already have a grade 12 education! he said we have
people with university degrees that come in here and fail!!! cfat! the
aptitude test is designed for a purpose!!! its to see whats best suited for
you and the canadian armed forces! the test lets the recruiters see where
your weakness is and where your strengths are! so that they can put you in
the best possible position where you would function at your best!!! so i did
not argue with him! i went home and applied to university i got excepted
!i‘ve completed my first year of arts and sciences! i got a higher education
now!! i called back to the recruiting office in saskatoon! they set me up to
rewrite the test. i was so scared to fail i started to shake!!!!but when the
test was administered i knew what to expect! hey what ya know!i passed!!!
the second step was to take an interview! with an officer! it was basic!! i
was nervous but i told the truth and was very straight forward! the next
step was medical 1 and then a medical 2 they check you inside out for every
thing!!!i‘m grade a meat!!!! i passed!!! then the physical wow!!that‘s
fun!!they make you climb stairs for 3 minutes to rap music! then they check
your heart then they make you do it over and over !!! the man administering
my physical said i was in awesome shape!! he said i wouldent have a problem
in basic but don‘t go be some kind of super man or they will push you
harder!!!then he said push ups! if you pass 19 you pass the test! but if you
can do more continue to do so! so i pumped out 78 push ups with out
stopping! then sit ups !19 in 2 minutes he said! so i did 76 in 2 minutes!!
the he gave me a metal thing for the grip test!!it was slippery because i
was sweaty. i squeezed the thing as hard as i could and he said! holy ****
you got grip like a grizzly bear!!so i passed their physical no problemo!!
so right now i‘m currently on the merit list for basic recruit training! i
don‘t know when that is going to happen, but i sure do look forward to it!!
it will be an experience!!
if any one knows when the next course is opening up please if you can tell
me! i am on the west side so i imagine they will put me in with the ppcli! i
would like to know when their next session is for basic training! i‘ve heard
it was in july but if some one reading this knows for sure !please let me
know!ok !!thank you !!

ok! the canadian armed forces aptitude testcfat is given in different
components, its focusses are in math,english and a few other common sence
skills, eather you know it, or you dont know it-kinda thing the aptitude
test is based at a grade 10 to 12 level education. A time limit of 1 hour is
given to complete the whole test, the test is measured in minutes! when you
start one part you will be instructed to stop! when the man conducting the
test tells you to. So try to finish as much as you can: while you have the
chance too!!!! dont make any mistakes:......the test i think measures your
ability to operate under stress!!!thats why they have a time limit on the
test!!! and the questions are designed to make you think!!!! the cfat test
is designed to see what trade would best fit you in the canadian armed
forces!!!in my opinion i dont think its a good way of seeing who should go
where!!but its the military‘s way, and thats the way its gotta be :
