Army Log O (Pres) new OFP and promotion policy question

Hey everyone, hope you’re all doing well!

I’ve got a quick question about the promotion process for Log O in 2025. Does the jump from 2Lt to Lt happen right after completing LOCC, or is it only after finishing the specialization training? I’m a little confused about how it works.

I’m asking because there’s a deployment I’m eyeing that requires being a Lieutenant, so I want to make sure I understand the process.

If you lack the specialization training, regardless of rank, it's unlikely you'd be selected to deploy.

If you lack the specialization training, regardless of rank, it's unlikely you'd be selected to deploy.

As @dapaterson points out if you aren't OFP you aren't deploying.

To (potentially) answer your question pretty sure that you still need one year of service as a 2LT for promotion to Lt. I don't have access to CFAOs right now and PRes promotion policy isn't something I have memorized so hopefully someone can answer better or you can can check the relevant CFAO.
