For Reserves Class B, I would like to know if I'm switching from Class A to B, would I take the weekends off or work the 7-days full time?

It would depend how long and for what reason was the Class B (a course, employment at home unit, an exercise, etc) . Class B could be from 13 days to a period of years. If there are weekends during that period of service during which the reservist is required to work, he will have to work (just like a Regular), if there is no requirement to work during that weekend, then he would have it off (just like a Regular).

4.1 Class “A” Reserve Service, as defined in QR&O article 9.06, must be used for short periods of service to a maximum of 12 consecutive calendar days and a maximum of 16 cumulative calendar days per month (full days and half days each count as one calendar day). Res F members must not be placed on consecutive periods of Class “A” Reserve Service with the intent of avoiding obtaining the necessary approvals for a period of Class “B” or Class “C” Reserve Service (e.g. a Res F member serving on consecutive five-day periods of Class “A” Reserve Service with a one- or two-day break between periods over extended periods; or employing a member daily from Monday to Friday for just under the six hours required for a full day’s pay and presenting such service as only 2.5 days per week).
5.1 Class “B” Reserve Service, as defined in QR&O article 9.07, is full-time service and must not be authorized unless the period of service is 13 or more consecutive days.

5.2
Short breaks in service may negatively impact the member’s benefits and entitlements. Therefore, the approving authority must ensure that intentional short breaks in Class “B” Reserve Service, such as over weekends or holidays, are not permitted except in the case of Reg F annuitants who opt to take a break as set out in paras 3.14 to 3.16 of this document.

5.2 talks about the contract/route letter duration, not taking weekends off. My experience is dated but class b reservists followed the same schedule as the unit they worked at. Sometimes their home unit works ask them to work there fort a weekend exercise, but they are not required to. The unit they are at might also work on a weekend. You might end up on class b at a reserve unit where the work includes weekends, what I've seen there is Mondays off.

If you are working on a long term Class B, such as a three year position, then you will have weekends off for the most part. There is a bit of give and take involved, and depending on your employer you may work the occasional weekend. For example, I have been Class B (or C) since 1997, and I have worked a lot of weekends (exercises, ceremonial activities, domestic operations, catch-up work), but my employers would typically give me some sort of compensatory time off in return.
