Hi I did a search and couldn't find it, and also looked on google and combat camera.
Can someone tell me what the proper arrangement for the portraits in the mess is (Queen on top, colonel in chief, on left etc...)? any answer would be great,

In my experience:

Queen at Center slightly higher than the rest - Off her right shoulder - PM, MND, CDS, CF CWO - Off her left shoulder, GG, other Honorary Cols, Branch Head, Branch CWO

For the most part, the large list of required pictures should be hung somewhere in the unit... where there is heavy traffic - so everyone gets to see & be able to identify them... but that large list is usually not displayed in reserve units limited to 1 building.

Traditionaly, messes will have a picture of HM the Queen & her consort + photos of the unit's honoraries...
