I returned from the AUSA meeting in Washington DC today. I was very impressed with the discussion I had with a LTC from the CDN Forces (Airforce). He was both technically and tactically proficient...a nice change in a field grade officer(I am not sure of the CDN term). We discussed the current state of CDN military procurement, a contractor mentioned that Canada had spent over $1 Billion (CDN) and thought some of that money would be better spent on replacing aging helicopters and other priorities. I think we all agreed that it was a reasonable idea.
