call for file location?

Are we supposed to call to know where our file stands after all tests are done???

I think its a good idea to keep in touch regularly, mind you, I call every monday on my day off and have done so for a couple months without actually being able to speak with a live person. I leave a message each time and have yet to receive a call back. So, in my case it looks like going down there is the only option if I actually want an answer, it might be that way for you too.

You do have to hound them alot. Last summer when I was waiting for a trade to open, my file manager sort of just forgot about me. It took me calling in for him to realize that there was a trade open that I had chosen and that is what got me scheduled to do the PT test, medical and interview. It does pay to bug people. If they are interested in doing their job they will call you back, that is what they are there for.

since my file was sent to Borden and where ever else, i call every monday for an update - like this weeks update was "your background check came back, clean, now waiting on medical file"

hey mav ...hope for aug 8 like u said....but i dont wanna p-ss off ppl ,have my file tossed to the bottom or never reach its intended destination or have to deal with their contacts...i.e  Mcpl chew my nuts out coz i bugged 'em too much... but word of wisdom IF U DONT CALL U WILL NEVER KNOW WHATS GOING ON>>>sO  CALL BUT DONT BE A BUM ABOUT IT....

Just keep on calling them on a regular basis. Not everyday, but once a week is okay. It will give you piece of mind and let the people at the recruiting center know that you are really wanting to get in.

Yup, calling them one day a week is a great. That way they never forget you. They notice that you are motivated and that you take care of your career.  >
