Overall the M16 FOW (Family Of Weapons) is by far the most combat proven 5.56 x 45mm rifle of all time. With now 40+ yrs in service, the rilfe has evolved and kept up with the changing times. Hard to beleive that the Cdn C7 has been around in the system for almost 20 yrs.

Canada is lucky to have it's own small arms industry (Colt Canada AKA Diemaco). Lets hope it still remains in Canada in the years to come.

I reckon the C7A2 is a positive evolvement of the rifle system pertaining to the ever changing needs of the CF soldier of today.
