A FCS tech is not a Fire fighter. He repairs, replaces Weapon Fire control systems. He is the electrical side of a weapons tech. So before you give info, make sure its right. This is the problem here. Too many dumb dumbs

Instead of being a courteous, and just saying "no sorry your wrong what FCS means this ......" You decide to be an ignorant jerk. Relax a little buddy, I‘ve been a long time lurker here and everytime you post you can‘t help but put some snide comment in! Granted this is the internet and not work but why don‘t you use some of those leadership skills to be a decent human being!

Shortt is suppost to be a Reg Force Arty Sgt, if he is, he world have known what a FCS tech was. Like I said, there are too many dumb dumbs and wantabbies here. There are poor men and women who ask for the right answer and they should get it. I‘m a ex army brat, and have spent 22yrs of my 41 yrs in. I‘m not saying that I know it all but. I say read first, get the info then post. And yes I am a A55hole, I‘ve been told that many times. But if you talk to fellas, who know me they would change your mine.

Mom, try checking out this link. It‘s unoffcial, but shows the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering branch cap badge (which FCS Tech falls under) the FCS Tech trade badge (worn on the sleeve) and a bit of history of the EME branch and the FCS Tech trade.

I‘m was never in the branch myself, so I can‘t speak to the accuracy of the site, but it appears to have some good info.

Hi all! Sorry for the trouble...thank you all for your answers. I found the info I was looking for with your help. Son is doing very well, had a nice call from him last nite. Very cold there -40 something with the wind chill. A big change for a Coastal boy! Thanks again!
