Perhaps Vancouver will be the setting of Risa? The same way Vancouver was in Battlestar Galactica?

Star Trek Will Boldly Go Back To TV With A New Series
NOVEMBER 2, 2015
Victoria

Since it first premiered on television in 1966, Star Trek has been exploring strange new worlds, seeking out new life and new civilizations, and boldly going where no man (or no one, depending on when you started watching) has gone before for almost 50 years. But while the current movies are making huge bank at the box office, the franchise hasn’t returned to TV since Star Trek: Enterprise ended in 2005—until now.

According to an official announcement from the Star Trek website, executive producer Alex Kurtzman is developing a “totally new” TV series set in the Star Trek universe that will premiere on CBS All Access, the network’s video on demand subscription service, in January 2017.

Kurtzman, along with Roberto Orci, wrote the 2009 film Star Trek and its sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness, both of which helped to revitalize the franchise for a new audience. He also oversees the CBS shows Limitless and Scorpion, as well as Hawaii Five-0 with Orci, and Sleepy Hollow for Fox.
