I had forgotten this subject became public last year. It seem's appropriate to highlight the article.
The purpose of the contingency plan is to enable the US military to launch a pre-emptive strike anywhere in the world on short notice.

Interesting Article. I like the part of how they would conduct these strikes. Sending commandos in, with air strikes, electronic warfare. America seems be having a good plan, but do you think that by advising people of what they would do is so smart? why not keep it classified information so that the enemy does not know what tactics may be used by the states after such an attack. just my thoughts.

The article is basically an outline and not specific, or someone would be in Leavenworth hehe. As with most countries the US has contingency plans for almost any event. Periodically they are brought out and updated. Put yourself in the sandals of an Iranian war planner. He knows his weaknesses and the strengths of the US. He knows that he cannot prevent the loss of their reactor sites. He can only try to make it as hard as possible for effective US strikes. To accomplish this they can turn off their radars, harden communications, move command centers, decoys, ect.  They can have agents watching US air bases in the region to get advance warning of attack. The Iranian planner has his work cut out for him.

Very true. They would have there work cut out for them trying to stop a US strike, good article.
