I collect military equipment from across the world and I was wondering what the value (out of curiosity) was for Canadian Forces equipment so I can compare authentic vs replica?

Helmet = $$$?
Tac Vest = $$$?
Armour Vest = $$$?

I have gear from China, US, Iraq, Britain and I am half done my Aussie collection :)

If you could please provide a ballpark figure, of all three items, I would be grateful.

One more question, Canadian Forces use the same ballistic eye wear as Americans/Brits? I have encased mannequin's and each is in full combat gear from one of the above countries and the outside of the case has a flag to represent the country of origin - I can just imagine how spectacular the collection will look once I have accumulated a dozen :) I will post them in the future once I have organized everything.

Thanks!
Tom

The CF issues Revision Sawflys; Revision Locust goggles and Bullet Ants were issue items in Afghanistan as well.  I believe Revision is on the list of approved companies for ballistic eye wear for the US Army and they may also be issued to British forces.

The helmet you might be able to buy from a Canadian surplus store for $150-300
Tac Vest - Replicas are out there,  if you can find a real tac vest it'll be over priced.
FPV - Real ones are not available for sale, and I don't know if there is a source for replicas or not, visiting a Airsoft site may get you a lead though.

Searching on the Canadian retailer websites and eBay will also give you ball park figures.

CADPAT items AFAIK are not to be sold as surplus, but some items have gotten through the system and into surplus.  Because real CADPAT items are relatively rare, they can be expensive. There are some companies that make replica uniforms, small packs, rucksack, tac vest, etc should be able to get them from Canadian retailers and/or eBay.

Perhaps all of your posts about CF equipment should be in one thread, and not starting a new thread for each question? Might make it easier for you as well.

Pacific Safety Products makes our FPV. You may get lucky and find an older olive drab one, but doubtful to find one with the CADPAT (TW or AR) covers, and especially rare to find the brassards and throat protector.

When I had to get my armour and tac vest replaced a few years ago, it was $600 +/- per item.  Thankfully, my plates weren't involved.

$600 each?????  My friend had his tac vest stolen out of his car, but I never did find out how much they dinged him from his paycheque.  If he was naiiled for $600, I'm surprised I didn't hear about it.  I heard the helmet is $300-400.

After work, I'm going home and locking all my $hit in the safe.
