current job history and security screening at CFLRS

After my interview, and medical this past March, I lost my job.  A short while later, I received  "the call" and accepted a job offer and will be heading to St. Jean this coming November.  The CPL who called with the offer, told me to notify them of any changes that might affect my credit etc.  I did not tell him about my "current lack of employment."

I know that there is a second security screening done during your stay at St. Jean and I had intended to just put unemployed from ___to present on the form.  Does anyone know if the CF can then take those forms and find out if/why I was unemployed for that duration if "I don't" come out and tell them?

My financial situation is not in jeopardy.

I know that honestly is very important in the CF, but even at my age, my job history is crappy to say the least.  Will not telling the recruiting centre of my change in job status, or telling CFLRS be cause for them to say...send my home?

I don't know if they can, but what are you worried about?

I wasn't let go for something too serious, although not great.  I contacted the employer that let me go, and the lady in Human Resources basically said that they do not give out any information unless I approve it apparently.  They are only allowed to give information as to how long someone has worked for them and what job they held.

I would let the CFRC know that you are currently unemployed.  I don't think it will be a big deal, unless you have debt and you used your employment as proof that you are paying off the debt.

PMedMoe......I don't know why I am worried about it.  I guess since I haven't told them I worry about it biting me in the ass.  But its just a past job and I guess I shouldn't worry even if i don't tell them.

.....and yes I do have debt in the form of a car payment and $1500 credit card, but I am making my payments even being on E.I.  And my wife helps with the bills.

Well, there you go.  Your bills are being paid, you're just "unemployed".  You're not the first and you won't be the last.  Stop over thinking everything.  ;)

PMedMoe......thanks.  Even in my 30's I occasionally still need a good kick in the pants.
