3 barrack boxes, 2 kit bags,

enviromental clothing as required, ie Desert boots, desert socks, extra tshirt, underwear, socks.

2 Quart canteen, driver googles.

Most of the stuff is the things you already got.

2 X ICE Fleece Shirts   (if not previously issued-IECS must be rtnd)
2 X ICE Fleece Pants  (if not previously issued-IECS must be rtnd)
3 X Barrack Boxes (Max-if you have 2 you get 1/if you have 1 you get 2)
1 X Gen III Vest (only if flying via SF otherwise CM issues)
1 set ballistic plates (only if flying via SF otherwise CM issues)
2 X Hand towells (even if issued previously)
2 X Bath towells   (even if issued previously)
3 X CTS Black Sock Liners   (even if basic 5 each is already issued)
3 X CTS Green Socks  (even if basic 5 each is already issued)
3 X CTS Boxers   (even if basic 5 each is already issued)
3 X Olive Drab T-shirts (even if 4 each basic is already issued)
and, if it is your first deployment you will also be issued:
2 X Desert Boots (after issued once in your career they are exchangeable/it is not 2 pr per tour)

I think I got it all. There are other items that will be issued in-theatre via Camp Mirage. Anything else is part of the Basic Field Scale which you should already have if serving at a Land Force location...BEW etc.

Each tour has it's own scale. For example Op Safari personnel are entitled to 4 X Barrack Boxes etc. Your entitlements depend upon your tour length and Op. TAV entitlements to a Theatre are not the same as a full-tour entitlements at the same theatre/Op.

TN2IC are you deploying?? If so let me know and I will e-mail the top-up issue doc to Halifax Clothing for you.

Just out of curiousity, do your ruck, TV, ballistic plates, etc. all get packed into those barrack boxes and kit bags or do you load up your ruck as well (for example)?

Cheers,
Pinky

Ruck is separate. 2 Barrack boxes go UAB. TV goes in one of the duffle bags. Body armour is issued in Mirage.

I am deploying.. but in a year from now... so tons of time.

just a small correction, the TW cadpat ICE gear, is yours to keep permanently.

loyaleddie87-I think what was ment by the comment by armyvern is that, the IECS needs to be returned when you get the ICE issued

"1 X ICE Jacket (if not previously issued-IECS must be rtnd)
1 X ICE pants (if not previously issued-IECS must be rtnd)"

ARMYVERN, would be able to clarify

Vern, do you know if the 2-in-1 will be put on scale?  I had to beat Mike_R23A away from mine with a large stick last week!  ;D

Cheers,
Duey

Duey, the battle's not over yet... next time I'll employ the help of your rib-stealing, spetnaz wonder pooch to accomplish the mission.

I still can't believe the infantry (and the army in general) does not have a gore-tex rain jacket... good god!  ::)

If I can't bribe/steal Duey's, I'm getting one of these http://www.icetactical.com/hard-shelljkt.html in CADPAT TW as soon as they start cranking them out.

WRT the rain jacket, I think (granted this is RUMINT) that the airforce and army were/are making a common Gortex jacket and we will eventually be getting that one.  Perhaps Vern can confirm.

Just another small correction...I said that they were entitled to ICE for the Op. I said IECS must be returned. It is only theirs for their career if they happen to be in Army DEU (they get to keep it all for career).

Air Force pers on this Op only gets to keep the ICE jackets and pants, parka and overalls for their career. The fleece must be returned as Air Force pers are not entitled to it when not serving in an Army position. (Due to it's static discharge).

Naval DEU pers must return it all upon their return from theatre if they are not posted to a land position. (Or if they are posted to an Air position, they keep it all but the fleece due to static discharge).

Geez Duey, I have to use a big stick to keep all the Army guys here away from it too!! No move yet to bring it on scale by the Army. Trialling some (without the VERY field-tactical reflectors as they don't go over well in a trench setting etc and tend not to stay stuck up under) which are a little "quieter" than the Air Force cadpat 2 in 1 raingear.

Sorry Army guys...still no official cadpat raingear for you.... :(
I want some too!!

Thanks Vern!  I didn't have the heart to tell Mike I had also forgotten to bring my AR 2in1....  j/k  :P

Cheers,
Duey
