During a brief we received one day we were told that while on annual leave you are only allowed to drive a certain number of km's per day, and if you were to get into an accident and it was found you had exceeded the allowable limit certain benefits could be withheld.
I know that while you are travelling by POMV to a course or something while on military duty you are restricted to 500 km or so a day of driving time, I can't remember the exact number. I guess I just always assumed that while on annual leave you could drive as far as you wanted in a day.
I checked the leave policy manual and the QR&O's referenced in that pub, but I can't find anything about it. I can't find anything about any restrictions on driving distance at all, so I'm probably not looking in the right spot. I tried a search of this site but couldn't find any threads about this kind of thing either.
I'd certainly appreciate it if someone here could point me in the right direction.
Thanks.
