EME Cap Badge

I am wondering when an OCdt can wear his/her cap badge in the EME trade. I have heard not until all your phases are done but I have also heard after BOTP. Do officers wear the metal badge? Thanks for the info.

Any EME OCdt I've spoken with said they got their cap badge after they were completed their phase training. The officers I've seen have cloth cap badges but they are different than the one the NCM's wear. Hope that helps a bit. Somebody actually in the EME branch may be explain to give a better idea of how it works.

Officers wear a cloth badge. It is different than the NCM cloth badge and it is worn with all forms of dress.
As for when they get it, I don't know. IMHO, it should be during their phase training, after their EME indoc, whenever that is.

EME Officers, like NCM's wear the issue Metal hatbadge when in DEU. The expensive cloth hat badge is worn with CADPAT. The branch will decide when it is issues to OCdt's. I think after Phase 2 (CAP) but I'm not sure I didn't do CAP.

WOW! I ahve got to pay better attention.
It's been a long time since I've seen an EME officer in anything other than CadPat.
