Found this little gem today, and am trying to nail down what it represents. I was told it was for the observer's who flew on the CS2F-3 Trackers, could someone yea or nay that for me. Thanks to all.
Just to clarify the fore runner of the AESOp trade was the Observer's Mate, the Observer trade was the officer equivilant of todays Navigators , which was phased out of the RCN with the reitrement of the Avenger. The Tracker and early Sea Kings were crewed by pilots and Observer's Mates. If you don't believe me, just look up Observer in the Royal Navy, Royal Australian Navy, and Royal New Zealand Navy and you will see it is an officer trade basically equilivant to a TACCO/Navigator. This is why the Royal Navy Exchange Officer at 443 (MH) Sqn is an Observer who fills a TACCO position and the Canadian TACCO on exchange with the RN fills an Observer position.
