Hello everyone,

As is customary on many forums, mailing lists, and message boards, we just wanted to write a quick introductory post to say why we are here.

Polymancer Studios is a publishing company, active in the game, speculative fiction, and other markets; this includes work in the wargaming and related hobbies. We are interested in involving ourselves with individuals who are themselves serving personnel in the military or who are interested in military topics. This "involvement" includes, but is not limited to, the recruitment of writers for our various publications. We have contacted Mike Bobbitt with regards to this, asking for his permission, and he told us it is fine. We are grateful for that.  :)

So, see you in the forums! We hope to hear from you soon.

Bayonets, Spears & Blasters™ is a new quarterly wargame magazine to be published by Polymancer® Studios, Inc., publishers of Polymancer magazine which has achieved recognition for excellence in covering roleplaying games and related hobbies.

We are seeking two kinds of writers for Bayonets, Spears & Blasters: Wargamers who can write interesting articles on rules, tactics, and miniatures collecting; and military history experts (you do not need to be a veteran or to have a PhD, you just need to be well-read in the subject and able to write in a not boring way) who can write about tactics, wars and battles, military technology, and similar fare.

For detailed submission guidelines, please send an e-mail to writer@polymancerstudios.com with “Bayonets, Spears & Blasters” in the subject line. This is paid freelance work. Copyrights remains with the writer with first publication rights going to the publisher. We have a monthly, free electronic newsletter called Write On! that we send to writers that contains information about our current projects and writing tips as well. Further information is available at www.polymancerstudios.com.

Thank you and we hope to hear from you soon! We are at your disposal to answer any questions that you have.

P.S.: Mike Bobbitt was contacted ahead of time with regards to our intention to make this post and he gave us the go-ahead. (He suggested this particular forum.) We thank him for this.
