How a famous Canadian officer voted in the federal election

Thought this was interesting; a well known Colonel of the Ottawa area published this:

"No reader will be surprised to learn that I voted Conservative in (the election); yet I don't believe that I was primarily motivated by my own troubles with a Liberal administration. I had certainly voted Liberal (in another election), if only because I couldn't bear (the man) who was then leading the Tories; and I think I was moved...chiefly by the conviction that it was time, and more than time, for a change... I was tired of a government that seemed to regard the country as its private property, as if it had been granted to it as Prince Edward Island was to the British absentee proprietors in 1767.  I felt that if Canada was not to be a one-party state the time to act was now; and as it turned out some millions of other people felt the same way."

An interesting statement by a senior officer at NDHQ.  A bio of the officer is at this page: http://www.canadiansoldiers.com/mediawiki-1.5.5/index.php?title=C.P._Stacey

And I find it even more interesting to note that the election he is referring to was held on 10 June 1957.
