how can i find out if i have an ancestry that was in the war

I just heard that there was a scholarship for those who have any family members that were in the war(s) or the military . So I would like to find out if theres a way to find out such information.

i don't think there would be a scholarship for that. the government barley gives the vets anything.

Well how about the billion that they are promising for the vets?? A billion dollars does sound like something to me. (That is IF the idead goes through)

the big if word. i hate that word.

the vets are not given nearly as much as other vets around the world.

i remember a story i was told. this one vet had died and he did not have much money at all. not enough for a funeral or anything. the family asked the liberal government if they could help with the coverage of the funeral. the government did nothing. gave nothing. the whole thing went out to the news papers and i think they sent a letter over to France or Belgium. i cant remember.  but they responded and told the vet and his family that when he passes away there government will pay to have the body transported to their country, pay for the whole funeral, including casket flowers burial i mean everything. that is something out government will never do for our veterans. it takes the people that lived through that time in history and lived in the countries to really know what the vets did.
