I guess you never did understand the pride involved in being a member of a
unit or guard detail. Knowing that 99.9 of the people out there don‘t have
the guts, stamina, pride or courage to do these things. Marching shows off
a unit‘s cohesion and ability to act as a team. Not everything in life is
meant to be fun. The fun and enjoyment comes after the inspection, and you
know you made the grade, and can hack it.
