Many years ago, back in the 90's, I had completed my QL3- Combat Engineer training with the reserves. So I have previous experience with Basic and military expectations. I left at the time because I needed money for school and local part time jobs paid way better.
I'm 48 now. I can still do 50 pushups straight, 5 or 6 pullups and run for 10 min without needing to walk. I'm pretty sure the force test will be a breeze. My kids have all gone away to university so now I have the time. The question is, can I get back in? I know its been so long I'll need to do BMQ but I'm not thinking of the engineers again. I have a lifetime of experience in IT security and I was thinking I might still be some use to the CAF with the skills I have in the reserves. There's a signals regiment nearby so that's an option.
