You‘re an officer aren‘t you K. Newans? I think everyone here has belched, farted, ball scratched, sworn and maybe even enjoyed a smoke more than once in their lives. Doesn‘t mean we make a show of it nor are these functions, some of which are neccessary biological, confined to the "military culture" as you put it. Part of being a diciplined army is knowing discretion. Even swearing has its place...if my No1 LMG is seducing the pooch and has ignored or not heard my past call for rapid rate, they will get their instructions in something a little clearer than the Kings English. Enough said on that.

As far as social changes in the military go, anything is good until it harms the fighting ability of the Forces.
