Hey Everyone:

Went and looked at a new shiny thing tonight. Currently I am driving a 2002 Chev Avalanche 4X4 with Z71 offroad package, the thing is I like driving a truck but I rarely use the 4 wheel drive on my current truck and it's a bit of overkill now living in southwestern Ontario. My Avalanche has a 120 litre tank and is fairly thirsty. Like I said I still want a truck and this one described below has new engine management technology that shuts down 4 cylinders when they are not needed resulting in somewhat of a fuel savings.

Anyone have one of these look forward to comments good or bad.

Sorry not a Dodge fan.  Can't help you there.  I was going to suggest an 06 Silverado Special Edition. Mostly because I just picked one up and I love it but you've ruled out the 4x4 so....  Good luck whichever way you go.

BD

ps  I find the seats in the Dodge are like sitting on plywood boxes.

I would get a Sierra or Silverado Quad cab, and Im pretty sure they are offered in Hybrid as well....

Pish Posh.....

I'd stick with the Dodge before I'd ever go Ford.  (If you want a real truck, try checking out your friendly neighbourhood GM dealer).

:p ;D

Well I took the leap and bought the Ram Quad Cab.

I turfed the Avalanche too many problems with it on a regular basis, glad to be rid of the headache.

It's too bad you could not wait until Oct as the GM trucks come out, they do come with an engine mangement system that will shutdown 4 cylinders cruising.

This is a shameless plug as I build them.
