Good morning folks, hope the coffee's good this morning.

First off I didn't want to make this topic but as far as I know i'm out of options, so i'll give you a brief run down. I'm currently an MNR firefighter, I want to submit my application to the Canadian Forces, i've put my information on the online process, but there's a few details that the website is going to miss, first of all it'll miss my resume, certain courses / operational level courses/training that i have, and volunteer. Also I would like to go through the application process with a recruiter for the questions I may have.

That being said, for the last week i've tried calling several recruitment centers (as well as the virtual recruitment center) with not a single answer. So i'm looking to see if a recruiter could take some time out of his day to possibly take my call and/or an email from me. I wouldn't mind making a trip down to a RC on my days off.

Feel free to email me, leave a message here or a personal message

Thanks in advanced

If you have started the process by applying online, just be patient.  In the meantime, get prepared.  Prepare your resume and covering letter.  Start gathering information for your Security checks, such as: names, addresses, dates of birth, etc. for all your immediate family members; names, addresses and contact info for three references who have known you for over three years; name, and contact info of your supervisor at work; addresses of where you have lived for the past ten years; name and addresses of where you have been employed for the past ten years, your education and the name and address of those institutions; etc.  The ten year history may or may not be required, depending on what Security Clearance you may be required to attain in the future, but it is safest to be prepared.  If I am correct, the initial checks only require going back five years.  That info will be given to you when you are sent the forms.  You will also need to have your High School transcripts, and transcripts of any College or University courses taken.

When you get a booking for an interview, you will be required to bring all of that in as hardcopies.

There is a section in the online resume that allows you to enter any "other" qualifications that you have. I was able to put in my first aid certificate for instance among some other training documents I have.

I might have overlooked this part.
I wonder if I could send in my qualifications with my birth certificate and academic courses. Im also on contract as a firefighter until september, but it wouldn't allow me to put future dates on my employment section.

I appreciate the reply's folks.

Yeah ForeverLearning, submit copies of any certificates or transcripts you have. When you get to the RC you will have to bring the originals for verification.
