Looking for anyone who may have served with my Dad, Claude ( Clem ) Prosser.
He was with the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders, and stationed in England.

Thanks

Bill Prosser

Bill best place to start would be to contact the present regiment and see if they can put you in touch with any of their veterans or Regimental associations

Bill also just came along this site as well

Unfortunately, no.
I do have his full records, telling where he was, between 1940 and `43, when he was discharged ( couldn`t meet the physical requirements any longer )

Could we connect by phone?
I`m in Toronto, and would be glad to provide any info I can.

Thanks so much

With hope

Bill

I do have a group photo of my father.
Regrettably I can not determine the hat badge they wear.
My father is the only one I know in the photo.
He was Black Watch originally then re badged to the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders oF Canada.

Date on photo is 12 Aug 1941. He was 17 at the time.

More info on photo reads as such

7 Platoon B Company
102ND. C.A.(R)T.C.    ---- PERHAPS THIS MEANS--- Canadian Army Reserve Training Company ????

But I am guessing on that one.
Perhaps someone reading this could help out.

I believe the photo was taken in Ontario.
Photo has    "HAROLDS"  on it.

Perhaps someone may know if Harold's is common to photos taken in Ontario at that time.

With any luck my friend your father will be in the photo as well.
I had two copies but just recently ran into a WW 2 Vet that knew my father and served with him.
So I gave him a copy, even tho he himself was not in it.
I will be more than glad to scan the photo and try and get it to you if you are interested.

Perhaps I should be doing this by private email.
All the best to you and get back if you wish.

I would definitely love a copy. Even a remote possibility of a connection is something to start with.

I`ll have to look at his records again, but I don`t recall seeing Ontario mentioned as a training location.
However, i could be wrong.

I think he was living in Whitemouth when he enlisted, but I`m not sure.

If you`d like to contact me privately, my address is billprosser@rogers.com

Thanks so much

Regards

Bill
