Medical Rift???!

I have just recently finished my application process and was awaiting my swearing in when i recieved a letter from the medical team stating that they thought my allergies to cats that is my only trigger for asthma wasnt what they were looking for.....
Do i have the opportunity to appeal this?!

Please let me know?

Check out the Enrollment Medical forum; you'll find many threads on the topic of asthma. You can also use the search function at the top of the page to search for info on "asthma" or "allergies".

From what I have seen and heard, asthma is generally a deal breaker for the CF. To be sure, ask the staff at your CFRC if you have any recourse in your specific situation.

You could try getting your doctor to order formal pulmonary function testing, including a methacholine challenge.  Depending on how that goes, you might be able to appeal, but as a general rule, asthma is AT LEAST a slow down to recruitment, if not an all out showstopper.
