Just a quick note to say that I've added military history events to the forum calendar here... That means that today's events will show at the bottom of the forum index and you can browse around the calendar to see what happened on other days.

This may not be the place to unload but what the Hey.
A friend of mine an ex RSM was invited to the RCMI last night for a talk given by an ex Transport Pilot who flew during the Korean War, I assume 426 Squadron. Guess what he talked about? The Infantry! and their inferior weapons and how the enemy had better weapons than we did. He also confirmed that the United Nations used biological warfare.
Give me a break what does a Transport Pilot know about the Infantry, was he there?, not bloody likely. It really ticks me off when some Fly Boy sets himself up to be an expert on what happens on the ground. I sure wouldn't be giving talks about Transport Command.
