Hello everyone, I've only been in the Navy Reserves for 3 months. I was just wondering what is the rule on missing training nights?

If you're talking about your once a week parade nights, as long as you parade once a month, you're fine. If you're talking about missing BMQ days (which I don't think you are seeing as I don't think any NavRes BMQ serials run this time of year), you would not be permitted.

Regular parade nights are not normally an issue, provided of course you don't have some sort of essential duty.  If the Unit will be doing some training and you are the only supply tech to hand out the necessary kit and you just don't show up....someone's going to be ticked.  Otherwise, as long as you show up once a month (according to regs but I've seen people go longer before the Unit starts to get concerned) you're fine.
