NCM-STEP Selection Timeline (Cyber Op)

I was moved into the selection stage last Tuesday. I sent an email confirming this and was told they do not know which occupation I have been selected for, and that they will send an offer once it has been prepared by higher headquarters. Does this mean I was already selected from the list? Or was it just the way it was worded? Wondering how long this competition list thing normally takes, especially considering my program start date is in the next few months (this is on file).

Competition list is not a timed thing. It simply means your application was deemed competitive and was placed in a pile with all the other applicants who were also deemed competitive. You could sit at this stage forever (as you are never guaranteed an offer of employment just for applying) or your could be there a day. It depends on when the selection board for your chosen trade sits.
If your portal actually says selected, you should receive a phone or an email (or both?) within a few days to a week; this will have your offer, trade selected, enrolment ceremony date and BMQ start date.

I checked my portal, and it changed to "Job Offer" today. I haven't received the email with the offer yet, so I hope it arrives today or this week.
