This may be of interest to some of you, particularly those who ever spent time Vernon BC. A new military wing to the existing museum is being built in Vernon. As many of you
are aware and for the benefit of those that aren‘t, the military has a long history in Vernon starting in 1908 with the 30th BC Horse, the CEF summer training camps of WWI, the between
the wars period of militia and cavalry camps, the Infantry Basic Training school and Coldstream Ranch Battledrill School of WWII, and of course the Army Cadet Camp that used the old
base since 1949.
