I bought a new hunting dog on Saturday. I wanted to name him something to "pay homage" to the military. Against my better judgement, I named him Trooper. I thought you guys might like to know. It‘s probably the nicest thing I‘ve ever done, for the Armoured Corps 
You may be wondering why I didn‘t name him the obvious - "Gunner". Well, he just doesn‘t seem as smart, as some of the dogs I‘ve had. By the way, if any of you are bird-dog enthusiasts, he‘s a German Shorthaired Pointer. My previous dog was a Gordon Setter.
