thats another good point...bungee cords would have to become the standard method... My unit had to do that once anyways, when we took both skiis and snowshoes out one time, for when we were still on roadways.How does one attach these to his ruck.
Heck...Those are SnowMobile SnowShoes. I got a pair of them (Wood and Sinew) forty years ago, when Eatons had run out of the "normal" kind and I needed some in a hurry for a Scout winter camping trip. Without the 'Tails" they are a B***ch to keep on straight. I am also concerned with the Ice grousers incorporated in them.....you can no longer lean back on the tails (which are now missing) and "ski" down long hills. These probably won't last too long in the system before a "real" outdoorsman shows them why the "Tail" is there.....for control and alignment while walking. Always hated it when on my next step the Snowmobile shoe would flop sideways. BearPaws may have been a better choice.
