Troops it's time to pull our collective head out of our ass and quit being such a PC hug-fest organization and realize that real SOLDIERS have no problems hacking on each other and roughing each other up every now and then. As for those who take exception to non-PC language and behaviour I say that YOU are whats wrong with the army today. I mean really our job is to train for WAR, not peacekeeping and today our army is weaker and less combat capable due to this PC crap.
Just my little rant and if you take exception to it, too bad!

The same goes for me I'm finding that the CF as a whole and the people in it are becoming a little too PC. For example changing words to be less threatening or reworking training to seem less "warrior" like. This is just my opinion of course, others may agree or disagree its up to them.

i think you took my last comment as an aggressive tone, it wasn't by any means. My whole point for stating the above is that I've seen the CF change alot over my short time in, some changes good some not so good, the not so good I hope doesn't get any worse.

Perry,
This is just my opinion of course, others may agree or disagree its up to them.
I was being sarcastic.  ::) You were apologising for no reason. Thats what I meant by making his point.

The problem with all this is that, this is an internet forum and not everyone on it is a grown up rough and tumble military type. There are kids on this forum, some as young as 12 I've seen. I agree that the political correctness and bleeding hearts are a pain in the ass, but would you want your 12 year old kid reading or listening to some of the conversations that go on between military folks? In any case I say if it's an all grown up situation, then have at er' and PC be damned, but on a public forum with no way to block kids, well then it needs to be moderated that way. And that is just my rant  8)

I totally agree with Rhyno and to read my rant on the subject, click here.....

Would one of you internet tough guys like to define "PC" for me?

I like Bill Maher's definition: When we stop applying common sense so as to not hurt each otherr's feelings. Confiscating nail clippers and frisking 80 year old white grannies at airport security is "PC".  Conforming to socially accepted norms of politeness, ettiquette and respect is not.

...I like that....what is that bastion of common sense doing these days?
