Pedophiles turn to politics

I think it is time to cull the herd! This is ridiculous. Just for admitting they are supportive of this party, they should thrown in the loonie bin...or sterilisation at the least.
THE HAGUE, Netherlands -- A court was expected to rule yesterday on whether a group of self-confessed pedophiles have the right to form a political party, in the latest test of the Netherlands' long tradition of tolerance.
Opponents have asked The Hague District Court to bar the party from registering for national elections in November, arguing children have the right not to be confronted with the party's platform.
The PNVD party, named after the Dutch acronym for Brotherly Love, Freedom and Diversity, advocates legalizing sex between adults and children above the age of 12.
The party sparked outrage when it proclaimed its existence in late May, but prosecutors declined to prosecute its members.
Anke de Wijn, a lawyer representing the party's opponents, said pedophiles were abusing Dutch tolerance.
"Victims feel hurt by the wish of pedophiles to make their desires known in public," De Wijn said. "There are few limitations on free speech, and that's good, but this group is making misuse of the privilege, to provoke."
As of yesterday, the party had only three known members. In order to stand in elections scheduled for Nov. 22, it will have to submit a list of candidates and the signatures of at least 30 supporters.
"I don't think a lot of people hate us, but they hate our ideas," party president Marthijn Uittenbogaard said. "I think there is some percentage ... who agree with us. Those people are not heard."
