I am currently working as a Helicopter-attack wildland firefighter. I have a search-rescue and recovery training as well as structural fire fighting. 
Is that good enough to be granted a citizenship waiver to enroll in the canadian forces?

I was granted the citizenship waiver for 4 years. I am getting the swearing ceremony soon in Nov 2010.
Ask your local CFRC abou your case.
Also you have to think about the Security Clearance Check. It takes long up to 18 months depending on where you were come from.
