Our Speaker of the House Nancy Pilosi is probably the most inept we have ever had. Her web site today had this pic in a discussion on how she supported veterans health care, evidently she supports Canadian veterans. Eventually her staff realized their error and took it down. You decide. ;D

I think tomahawk's point is that Nancy Pelosi is the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives and the picture is of Canadian military personnel.  ;D

Other than a mistaken photo on a web site do you have any other clear rational offerings as to why "Our Speaker of the House Nancy Pilosi is probably the most inept we have ever had."
I assume you regard Dennis Hastert and Newt Gingrich as better ideal Speakers but didn't they both resign in scandal, one over extramartial affairs and one over cover up of sexual abuse of House pages.

Then perhaps she was desperately looking for a photo of a female 'veteran' and felt no one would notice the different variant of green in the uniform, and "CANADA" on the slipons..... ;D

Just as I suppose we can accuse Baden Guy of not noticing that she was the Speaker of the House in the US, not Canada, we see the public doesn't really pay very close attention to details.

Which left both Baden Guy and I scratching our heads and wondering... Since Baden Guy certainly had noticed that Pilosi was the Speaker in the US. Hence his reference to two previous US Speakers.

Why.....I think that would be a marvelous idea.  Thanks for the suggestion.  I'll have to run off to the store now and get some of those tiny umbrellas to put in it and then we'll really get going........ ;D

George, I was referring to Ms. Pilosi's gaffe as sad, and funny was probably a poor choice of words.
The woman in the picture does look quite young, and although she may not be a veteran yet, I appreciate your comment regarding the fact that they are getting younger.  No disrespect intended.

Many thanks for a great job of straightening this out CdnArtyWife.  After reading George's reply I had a sudden lack of interest in pursuing the matter further.
