posting before basic training

Hi all,
Is it possible to be posted any officer candidate before basic training?
I heard a chaplain candidate was posted before basic training.

In short, no.

A chaplain might be posted before Basic Training because they are immediately employable in their specialty.

Chaplains do a specialized BOTC in Borden usually run once a year. I think that Medical officers can also be posted then go on BOTC. The norm is non specialist officers go to BMOQ first then are sent to their training establishments for their DP1 and any required follow on training. Then they are posted to a base  / unit.

In the sort-of similiar way, is that the norm for social workers as well?

Do they do the Health Services BOTC or the full meal meal St Jean BMOQ
