pre-secure due to foreign implications question

I was just wondering how long the pre-secure typical take if I am a Canadian citizen born in canada but has been living in America for the past couple of years. Does the process go faster since I am in America rather than another country or will it be the same amount of waiting? I've been told that the minimum could be 2 years which would be an extremely long time to wait.

Yes it's faster, but it's not fast. Nobody can tell you how long it will take but be very accurate with dates, addresses and references to not slow it done because of a simple error.
