Recruiting Centres

This post was NOT meant to make me sound like a "Rockstar" or ANYTHING of that sort. I'm sorry to bother you if I did.

The animosity of first post has set the tone of the boards enough for me. I was giving my experience at my local recruiting centre, not my experience as a kid who has military parents and wants special treatment AT ALL.

I was a dependent of Canada living in a foreign country.

You are no different than anyone else. You were a kid who had a parent in the military. Nothing more. Get over it. It's not going to cause the recruiting system to wet itself at your arrival.

I was a military brat too, born in a foreign country. I filled out lots of extra forms too. If i didn't want to fill them out, no one was forcing me. I had a choice and so do you. No one is forcing you to apply to the CF.

You went to the CFRC and were not treated like the rockstar you are, I am sorry.

No, it wasn't.

After lurking on these boards for a while now though, I should've seen this coming. Virtually every thread has some form of hostility in it. Damn shame, really.
