Hi everyone,

In september 2012, my application was sent to the Montreal Recruitement Centre. They told me I would be called back in 2-4 weeks. Almost 3  months later, I still had no news of what was happening with my application. So I called back and they told me they had filled all their positions, sent my application back to the regiment and that I would have to wait until they would get new openings, in Frebuary- March 2013.  But they also said that if everything went fine, I could start the BMQ in May and 2013 and I could finish all the mandatoy training (SQ and PP1) during the summer, but I am sceptical. Is it realistic that I could go through all the application process in less than three months and finish all the training in only one summer ? ( I browsed through the forum and it seemd to me most people did their reserve training in two summers, one summer for the BMQ and SQ and the next summer for the PP1) Are there really reserves BMQ in May ? Is there anyone else in the same situation ?

Thank you in advance for your honest opinions, and sorry for my terrible English skills  :-[

Salut,
After 20+ years in the Naval reserve, I can say fast tracking people into the CF is extremely painful. It takes sooo long to get the paper work through various hands.  All I can say is push-push-push. Go see the office everyweek and become friends with the folks behind the desk. After all, it's your career  / future at stake, not theirs.

Administration is not NavRes strong suit. I recommend you go back to the recruiting station, in person and ask some questions.
