I would like to join the PRes, specifically a unit in the 32 CBG. I have everything fully researched and planned out, and I would like to join QOR as an Infanteer NCM. I want to do my BMQ this summer, ideally. Then, possibly follow up with a part-time DP1 in the school year after this summer. Also, for info, my local recruiter told me to wait until January to hit "Apply" on my online application, because the unit I would like to join will likely have "50-60 spots" that will open in April. Is this a good idea because he said they'd schedule my FORCE and medical really soon after I apply? I have no medical issues, and I am able to pass my FORCE test. I hold dual citizenship with a NATO country, but have never lived there. I want to know whether it is realistic I begin my BMQ in July. Will the recent forces.ca update that lists Infanteer as "Priority Application Processing" make the process significantly quicker? Also would I be able to start BMQ if there's a delay in security clearance? I read that there is a "Probationary Period".
