S.M.C. Hamilton (translation for a civy)

Hi,

I've recently look at all the buttons I've inherited
from my mother (deceased 1990). They all add
``S.M.C. Hamiltom`` on them. As she was in the
R.C.A.F.,  I presume it's related to

But what is the meaning of S.M.C. ?

M would be for Majesty, I guess.

SMC Hamilton is the manufacturer of the buttons. SMC is Strathcona Manufacturing Company.
